
Recently, the financial news website Quartz released a report that ByteDance plans to use Singapore as its business center in the Asia-Pacific region and is recruiting talents on a large scale.
According to data from the consulting firm GlobalData, since August 2020, one-quarter of the positions posted by Bytedance are in Singapore. Some of these positions involve areas such as product and data management, e-commerce, and cloud security.
GlobalData analyst Ajay Thalluri said: "Bytedance plans to use Singapore as the business center in the Asia-Pacific region. As the trade relationship between China and the United States continues to be tense, after encountering potential national security risks, Bytedance hopes to transfer to A neutral country."
In addition to Singapore, Bytedance's business in the Middle East, Africa, and Central and South America is also developing rapidly. Bytedance is also accelerating recruitment in China and the United States. The company plans to recruit 10,000 people in the United States in the next three years.
Thalluri said: “Bytedance will continue to maintain greater recruitment efforts in China and the United States. Recruitment positions are mainly focused on product innovation, research and development, and other fields. In markets such as the Middle East, Africa, and Central and South America, the new positions are mainly TikTok markets. Marketing and monetization."
