A few days ago, PUBG Studio announced PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds: New State, landing on iOS and Android platforms. The game is set in 2051, and the trailer looks pretty good, possibly surpassing traditional mobile games. In view of this, some confused fans speculated whether "New State" is "PUBG Mobile 2", and whether it will eventually land on PC and console.
In response, the pusher PlayerIGN replied that "New State" is only available on mobile platforms, and "PUBG Mobile 2" is available on PC/host/mobile phones, supports cross-platform play, and will be launched in 2022.
