WhatsApp developed the function of burning photos after reading, but did not provide anti-screenshot support

It was revealed a few days ago that WhatsApp is developing a “burn after reading” function. When the user who sends the message chooses to send the picture in this way, the picture will be automatically deleted after the recipient opens and reads the message.

According to WABetaInfo's findings, WhatsApp will notify the recipient that the relevant pictures will disappear once they leave the conversation window. Although photos set to be burned after reading cannot be exported and stored on the mobile phone, WhatsApp does not provide a package to prevent the receiver from taking screenshots, and the sender will not receive notifications, which makes people doubt the actual effect of this feature.

WABetaInfo refers to the development of new features for both Android and iOS. It belongs to Facebook's Instagram like WhatsApp. It already has the function of automatically deleting similar photos and videos. It is expected that this feature of WhatsApp will be more complete than the beta version when it is officially launched.
